The Full Employment Council was one of 11 nonprofit organizations in the Kansas City area to receive a grant from the Health Forward Foundation. The grant helps ensure Missourians are informed about the opportunity to enroll in Medicaid.
“Getting people access to healthcare is an integral part of successful workforce development,” said Clyde McQueen, President and CEO of the Full Employment Council. “Good health is a necessary foundation to anyone getting ahead. We are excited to be part of this initiative.”
The partnership between the Full Employment Council and the Health Forward Foundation prioritizes Missouri Medicaid expansion and enrollment efforts, through concerted outreach efforts that provide information about eligibility, upcoming enrollment opportunities, and providing resources.
“As soon as Missourians voted to extend lifesaving care to more than 275,000 people last August, we began collaborating to ensure everyone newly eligible was aware and had access to enroll in Medicaid,” said McClain Bryant Macklin, Health Forward Director of Policy and Strategic Initiatives. “We’re excited to partner with organizations that have demonstrated trusting relationships with the people we are trying to reach with this opportunity.”
